"This little “be kind” pin I was wearing was holding me accountable for my actions. Little did I know, I was starting a movement. People began talking about the pins and requesting to have one. I purchased a bunch from the Healthy Workforce Institute. The “Be Kind” movement is more critical now than ever.”

"This little “be kind” pin I was wearing was holding me accountable for my actions. Little did I know, I was starting a movement. People began talking about "Yes the Be Kind pins are a hit! Of course all of the team members on APU (the department in which we are focusing the Healthy Workforce efforts) love their pins, and wear them with pride. What I have found most interesting is the leaders that round on the team are infected with the kindness bug. They have searched out where they can find the pin, this includes: the physician lead of the Palliative Care Department, our new President and CEO, or VP, and or CNO. We are on a roll!"

"I had the pleasure of attending the recent TONL Houston Conference and hear Renee’s inspiring presentation. I picked up a pack of BE KIND PINS and I’m glad I did! The past few weeks have been some of the most stressful weeks in my career. I noticed that as my stress level started to go up, my peers around me did too, and a lot of it was manifesting as urgent questions stemming from fear of what was to come. They say the next 2 weeks are going to be the peak of patient volume and healthcare worker demands, so I wanted to be armed with more Be Kind pins. When I give them out, people smile and say, yes, thank you, I hope when someone sees this on my name badge, we remember to speak kindly to each other, after all we are all on the same team."
