Inova Mount Vernon’s 6B Intermediate Care Unit, under the leadership of Alhaji Bangura, MPH, BSN, RN, faced substantial challenges. By the close of the 2022 calendar year, the unit grappled with a high nurse turnover rate of 17.27%, while HCAHPS scores lagged organizational expectations (38th Percentile in 2022).
